Gaea: By defeating Ares, Kratos, the once mortal warrior, became the new god of war, however, Kratos soon found himself alone on Olympus, shun by his fellow gods.
But Kratos have no needs for the love of petty gods, he have found a new family in the warriors of Sparta, they bring solace from his past by climb to battle.

Spartan Captain: My Lord Kratos! Another city is ready to fall; soon all shall know the glory of Sparta!

Athena: Enough Kratos! With every city you destroy, the wrath of Olympus grows. Soon I will no longer be able to protect you.

Kratos: I need no protection.

Athena: Do not forget that it was I who made you a god ghost of Sparta, do not turn your back on me.

Kratos: I owe you nothing!

Athena: Then you leave me no choice.

Gaea: Kratos had turned the pain of his memories into hatred, hatred for the gods, who had refused to free him from the nightmares of his past deeds. And so, he went to Rhode, to deliver the final blow to the besieged city.

Gaea: Placing all of his godly power into the weapon, and rendered Kratos mortal, vulnerable to the arms of death. Bloodied and beaten, he knew that he had any hopes of survival; he must retrieve the Blade of Olympus. Humiliated before his Spartan army, Kratos dragged himself up from the dirt.

Kratos: You?!

Zeus: Yes, I am forced to attend to this matter myself. Athena refused to undo her mistake. Legend caring for a creature such as yourself.

Kratos: Why? Why would you betray me?

Zeus: It is you who would betrayed me. Am I to stand idly by while Olympus is threatened?! You hands had already stained by the blood of a god. I will not let Ares’ fate be my own.

Kratos: The gods are petty and pathetic, and your rule is weak.

Zeus: I grow tired of this insolence. I am the king of Olympus. Hence it is my way that is the way of the gods. You must vow to forever serve me.

Kratos: I serve no one!

Zeus: Then you leave me no choice!

Zeus: It did not have to be this way, my son. This path is of your choosing.

Kratos: A choice, from the gods, is as useless as the gods themselves.

Zeus: Even now as you draw your last breath you continue to defy me?! Everything you have ever known Kratos, will now suffer because of your sacrilege. You will never be the ruler of the Olympus. The cycle ends here.

Kratos: You will pay for this Zeus, be certain of that.

Gaea: As the life drained out of Kratos, the arms of Hades reached out to claim their prize. But there’s more resting on Kratos’ shoulder than he could’ve known.
Kratos was destined to bring about change so servere, that it would shake the very pillars of Mt. Olympus. His death was something that I could not allow.

Kratos: Ares! Destroy my enemies! And my life is yours!

Ares (voiced by Gaea): Fight, Spartan.

Woman (voiced by Gaea): You are not to die here.

Girl (voiced by Gaea): This is not the end.

Kratos: Who, are you?

Gaea: I am the Titan Gaea. Ever present mother of Earth. I have watched you become a powerful warrior. And I have been with you through all the events of your life. But I can no longer simply, watch. We will help you defeat Zeus. Death isn’t an escape,
Kratos. You are a warrior of Sparta, not a coward, only a coward accepts death.

Kratos: I am no coward.

Gaea: Then you must fight. I will show you the way to the Sisters of Fate. Only with their power will you defeat Zeus.

Kratos: Turn back to Olympus beast! I must face Zeus! You defy the god of war?!

Gaea: You are no longer a god, Kratos. Zeus, Olympus, and the blade, which holds all
your power will be forever more be out of reach. Your only hope is to find the Sisters of Fate, and travel back through time, to the moment Zeus betrayed you. For only then will he truly be vulnerable.

Prometheus: God of war, you lived.

Kratos: I no longer walk with the gods. Who has placed you in this torment?

Prometheus: Zeus. My only crime was helping mankind. When I took the fire of Olympus to the mortals, Zeus considered it a betrayal. As punishment, he made me mortal, and condemned me to be savagely consumed everyday by this cursed bird. And then, with the fall of night, I am healed.
How long have I been here? How long have I suffered this curse? I truly do not know.

Gaea: You have freed Prometheus from the torment of the gods. His flesh has tainted the fire of Olympus; and embodied it with the power of the Titans. These ashes will give you great strength Kratos; take them within you. And use the strength to defeat Olympus.

Gaea: Kratos, behold the Island of Creation, home to the Sisters of Fate. Here, the path to your true destiny begins.
The island is fraught with danger. It was created to prevent all from reaching the three Sisters of Fate. The power of the Sisters will allow you to return to that moment when Zeus betrayed and killed you Kratos. Thus changing your fate, and the fate of others.

Kratos: Why do you aid me Gaea?

Gaea: Zeus must be stopped, Kratos.

Gaea: The story of revenge has been told before. You know of the mighty Titan, Cronus. So fearful was Cronus as the oracle prediction that his own children would rise against him; that he decided to imprison all in his belly. Rhea, stood by and watched her children were devoured one by one, but when the time came for the last of her children to be eaten, she was unable to bear another such loss, and devised a trick to save the baby Zeus. Rhea commanded the eagle to sachet him on the way. He was taken to an island far beyond the watchful eyes of Cronus.
It was I who cared for him. It was I who kept him safe. I nurtured his desire to free his brothers and sisters from Cronus. But my foolish act of compassion would haunt the Titans forever. For inspiring Zeus, we allowed him to return to us with vengeance in his part. He betrayed all of the Titans for the sins of just one.

Theseus: Hahahahahha, the ghost of Sparta. Then what they say is true.

Kratos: Theseus….

Theseus: Of all the fools who tried, you would be the last I would expect to seek an audience with the Sisters of Fate.

Kratos: Then you are the last one I would expect to become a servant of the fate.

Theseus: I serve and protect the Sisters of Fate, for the glory of Zeus!

Kratos: The time of Zeus is coming to an end.

Theseus: Hmm…you seek the Sisters to kill Zeus. Wuhahahahaahaha. You no longer possess the powers of a god Kratos. I doubt you are capable of killing me! Let alone, the king of Olympus!

Kratos: Let me pass, and I will let you live, old man.

Theseus: I do not think that is your choice to make. Come forward, let us fight be seen, who is the greatest warrior in all of Greece.

Atlas: Since…since the end of the Great War. Bloodlust and power raged within Zeus, his desire to ruler over mortals was intolerable to lust. The war between the Titans and the Olympians torched the landscape of the mortal world. It was a war that we knew that Titans must win. If we lost, it would mean an end to the golden age of the Titan rule, peace and prosperity of mankind would be no more.
The battle continued despite my capture, then Zeus created a powerful weapon, to end the Great War. A weapon forged from the Heavens and the Earth, the Blade of Olympus.

Zeus: I vanish you to the darkest pits of Tartarus!

Atlas: I have woken the torment of the underworld, vanished to the darkest pit of Hades. I will have destroyed Zeus if you had not put me here, slave of the gods.

Kratos: I no longer do the bidding of the gods, Atlas! I have stammered up a betrayal for the last time. Show me the way to the Sisters and I will kill Zeus once and for all!

I have fate, that our brothers of Sparta, will live on…through the true God of War. *dies*

Kratos: Zeus!!! Is this how you face me, coward?!! I am through doing the bidding of the gods. Come down here and face me now, Zeus!!

Kratos: I am so sorry, my love. Can you ever forgive me?

Kratos’ wife (voiced by Gaea): All is not lost, Kratos. You must go on. There’s much at stake here.

Kratos: I cannot defeat the gods.

Kratos’ wife (voiced by Gaea): Victory favors you Kratos. But you must grab hold of your destiny and command it. There is a war on the horizon and we need you to lead us into battle.

Kratos: To what end?

Kratos’ wife (voiced by Gaea): The death of Zeus. If you relent, Zeus will torment you still. He will not rest knowing you live. And when you die, his brother Hades will seek that your soul is tortured for all eternity. He will have no rest until you destroy him. Take within you this fire that burned your beloved Sparta, let it fuel your rage and hasten your steps toward destiny.
The time to act is upon us, Kratos. This back is just the beginning of a great war that is to come.

Athena: Because of fear, Kratos. A fear felt by his father, Cronus. A fear that wrought the Great War. A fear that droves Zeus to kill you. His own son…

Kratos: His son?!

Athena: Just as Zeus was compelled to destroy his father Cronus, you are compelled to do the same. No son shall destroy his own father…

Kratos: No! I have no father.

Athena: God after god will deny you, Kratos. They will protect Zeus. Zeus must live so that Olympus would prevail.

Kratos: If all of Olympus will deny me my vengeance, then all of Olympus will die. I have lived in the shadow of the gods for long enough! The time of the gods have come to an end!

Gaea: Remember Kratos, you have the power to control time itself.

 

 

Ending CG

Kratos: Gaea!

Gaea: We have been expecting you, ghost of Sparta. The gods are far too powerful for us to defeat now.

Kratos: All of Olympus tremble at my knee. Zeus is weak, Ares and Athena are dead and I wield the Blade. We can win the Great War but not in this time. Together, we will destroy the petty gods and we will see Olympus crumble before us!
Come with me Gaea! We turn to my time. Victory awaits.

Zeus: We have faced far worse than this one fallen mortal. But we are the gods, we whom the mortals worship, we who rule over this land. We, who will not be swept aside by this pestilent fool!
Brothers, put aside your petty grievances that had splintered us for so long. We will unite, we will stand together and I will wipe out this plague! Olympus will prevail.

Kratos: Zeus! Your son has returned. I bring the destruction of Olympus!

初章：从高高在上的战神回到原点

 

      奎托斯仇视放任还是人类时候的他沉沦在噩梦里的奥林匹斯诸神，他作为一个从人类变成的神，明目张胆的帮助斯巴达人扩充领地，这让包括雅典娜在内的诸神的不满，于是在一次攻城战中，巨大的战神奎托斯被一只白鸟变回人形，因为刚和雅典娜口角过，奎托斯便以为这是雅典娜的背叛行为，于是对宙斯给与他奥林匹斯之剑轻易的就相信了，结果他的力量被剑全部吸走，遍体鳞伤的奎托斯最终看见那只白鸟站在了他面前，变回了宙斯，这才明白一开始是宙斯真正要置他于死地，但是为时已晚，宙斯轻易的杀死了奎托斯。

      这一次以神的姿态死亡的奎托斯又进了地狱……就在他处于苦难中的时候，一代当中那些他接触过的人……阿瑞斯，妓女(XD…)，他的妻子和儿子以同一种声音要求他继续战斗……这个声音的真正主人是盖亚(Gaea)……盖亚称自己已经关注奎托斯很长时间了……(这一点倒是没错，盖亚的声音就是一代CG里旁白的声音……实际上二代是想把一代解释成盖亚以第三人称叙述的，已经发生了的事情。)

      希腊神话里，盖亚是最早的神，盖亚在大地上孤独地生活了许多年，一天，她终于不能忍受无尽的寂寞,生出了天神尤拉诺斯(Ouranos),并娶之为夫(- -)。他们生了许多孩子，其中最重要的六男六女就是十二泰坦，男为俄刻阿诺斯、科厄斯、克里厄斯、许珀里翁、伊阿珀托斯和克洛诺斯(Cronus)； 女为忒伊亚、瑞亚(Rhea)、忒弥斯、摩涅莫绪涅、福柏和忒提斯。

      盖亚让尤拉诺斯做了众神之王，后来尤拉诺斯逐渐刚愎自用，残忍狂暴……于是盖亚决定除掉他，而能除掉他的人将成为第二代神王，于是最小的儿子克洛诺斯鬼迷心窍，干掉了自己的老子……尤拉诺斯临死前，愤怒的诅咒克洛诺斯：“你会为你所做的付出代价。不久,你也将象我一样被自己的儿子推翻。”

      ……之后第二代神王克洛诺斯娶了自己的姐姐瑞亚，两人一共生了六个子女……克洛诺斯惧怕自己的儿子也学自己一样搞造反，于是瑞亚生一个他就吞一个……吞了五个之后，瑞亚受不了了，于是当最小的一个儿子，也就是宙斯即将被吞吃的时候，她用石头取代了婴儿，让克洛诺斯吞了下去……这也就是游戏里的第二段CG所讲述的故事。

      宙斯在自己的奶奶盖亚照顾下长大成人，为了解放自己的哥哥姐姐们，他向克洛诺斯发出了挑战，但是让盖亚没有想到的是，宙斯在推翻了克洛诺斯后，并没有停止复仇的意思，他把自己父亲的罪归结到泰坦身上，他所复仇的目标是全部的，所有泰坦。(实际上，这包括盖亚在内)

      于是一场由泰坦族和新神族之间的战争展开了，这场战争被称为Great War，宙斯自己率领着渴望成为神的人类，向代表着绝对神权的泰坦族发起了冲击(第三段CG)，宙斯凭借着锻造出的，无比强大的奥林匹斯之剑使得泰坦全军覆没，大部分泰坦被轰杀到了冥界，其他没有去冥界的泰坦也被宙斯另行惩罚，其中包括被罚顶天的擎天神，阿特拉斯(Atlas)，就是第三段CG中和奎托斯对话的泰坦，而宙斯自己的父亲克洛诺斯则被宙斯流放到了失魂沙漠(Desert of Lost Souls)，被罚永世背着潘多拉的神殿(The Temple of Pandora)在沙漠里行走，这座神殿就是一代里奎托斯的主要娱乐……冒险场所。顺带一提，阿特拉斯在一代里也有登场，在潘多拉环廊(The Rings of Pandora)里拿到阿耳特弥斯之刃(Blade of Artemis)后，就是阿特拉斯的挑战了。(和阿特拉斯本人一样……最后扔石球的那个石像。)

      宙斯从老爹克洛诺斯的肚子里救出了五位哥哥姐姐，自己娶了姐姐赫拉Hera，和另外两位哥哥哈迪斯Hades和波塞冬Poseidon三分奥林匹斯山Olympus，冥界UnderWorld，海洋Ocean。第三代神王的天下就此而定。(另外的两位姐姐，农神德墨忒尔Demeter和灶神赫斯堤亚Hestia，请华丽的忽略吧……)

 

      讲了大半天的希腊历史，现在回到奎托斯身上，“只有懦夫才会选择死亡，你不是懦夫，你的斯巴达的勇士”，盖亚这样激励着奎托斯，并且她给奎托斯指明了一条道路：去命运三女神所在的岛屿，通过改变时间，回到宙斯背叛并杀死奎托斯的那个时刻，去阻止这一切，挽救他自己……也挽救泰坦……

 

第一章 踏上命运之旅

 

      奎托斯从地狱里爬了出来，命令自己的副官回到斯巴达城，防止自己不在的时候斯巴达遭到攻击，之后就驾着盖亚给他的飞马前去寻找命运三姐妹。路上首先飞马被泰坦提丰Typhon压在了脚下，奎托斯只能去到提丰的头部那里和他理论。

      在路上奎托斯遇到了普罗米修斯(Prometheus)，这个人有点著名的过头了……我不解释了，最终实践证明了奎托斯口才不好，但是拳脚上的口才却很出色，打劫了提丰的神力后，提丰不得不抬脚放走飞马。

      提丰也是盖亚的儿子……父亲是塔耳塔洛斯Tartarus，塔耳塔洛斯和盖亚同属五大创世神，不过这就和战神离得太远了，不说也罢……在Great War中，提丰曾经打断过宙斯的手筋脚筋，后来被宙斯用雷电轰的奄奄一息……提丰一般在希腊神话里被描述成喷火巨人，长着一百个蛇头，浑身覆有羽毛并生有一对翅膀，这和提丰在游戏里的形象略有出入。

 

      继续前进的奎托斯来到了罗德岛Rhodes。在宙斯所率领的新神族离开神界，前往奥林匹斯的时候，有意安排三名命运女神留守，这一决定是为了保护，或者说是防止像奎托斯这样半路出家的神仙发生什么意外，但是从之后发生，发展的一系列事情后，这三名女神的职责和法力已经远远超越了当初新神族所赋予他们的了，三位命运女神依次是克罗托Clotho，制造并缠绕人类的生命之线，拉克西斯Lachesis，审视并看护人类的生命之线，以及阿特罗波斯Atropos，剪断人类的生命之线。

      罗德岛是原太阳之神赫利俄斯Helius的居住地，他每天驾驶着四匹火马拉的太阳车划过天空，给世界带来光明。在Great War之后，宙斯封赏众神，阴险的射术神阿波罗Apollo索要太阳之职，宙斯把赫利俄斯忘得一干二净，毫无犹豫的允应了阿波罗的要求。事后，只好将秀美怡人的罗德岛（Rhodes）赐予赫利俄斯作为补偿。

 

      如果说命运三女神在神界的居住地在哪里的话，那一定只能是这里。奎托斯在罗德岛降落后，决定让四匹火马帮助他把命运三女神所居住的神庙拉过来，在马车车厢的入口，奎托斯遇到了忒修斯Theseus，忒修斯在被海格立斯救出来后彻底沦为了宙斯的走狗，他对奎托斯欲弑宙斯的想法毫不掩饰的加以嘲笑，认为这是根本不可能的。奎托斯轻蔑的表示忒修斯只要滚开就好了，他将饶忒修斯一命，忒修斯显然并不服气，表示要和奎托斯一决高下，看看谁才是全希腊最强的人。

      老迈的忒修斯最终败在了奎托斯脚下，死于头骨碎裂……- -之后奎托斯遇到了克洛诺斯，他为了帮助奎托斯打倒自己的不孝儿子，赐予了奎托斯他的神力，克洛诺斯的愤怒Cronos‘s Rage，之后奎托斯成功地驽驭了四匹火马，硬生生的把神庙拉了过来。

      忒修斯是雅典的国王，生平最著名的事迹是杀死了怪物米诺陶诺斯Minotaur，米诺陶诺斯因为喜食童男童女的生肉，被囚于克里特岛上……关于它的其他情况后文会继续讲述。另外这个怪物就是一代中的牛怪BOSS……因此在战神里实际上奎托斯先是抢了忒修斯的戏份，接着又干掉了忒修斯……忒修斯老年的时候开始沉迷女色- -，试图抢过著名美女海伦，以及冥王的妻子，冥后珀尔塞福涅Persephone，失败后被关押在了冥界，最终被宙斯的儿子，著名的大力士海格力斯Heracles搭救，战神中把忒修斯解释成四火马的看门人，大概就是从这里来的。

 

第二章 阿特罗波斯的挑战
      一踏上神庙奎托斯就遇到了命运三女神中的阿特罗波斯Atropos的巨像，她可以剪断人类的生命之线，(游戏中并没有明确的说出三位女神到底谁是谁，但是通过她们所说的话，可以推测出一个大概，一点我在后面会给出自己的解释)。她对于奎托斯的到来表示了明确的拒绝，“堕落的神阿，没有人可以改变命运，你的旅途终点将会是死亡。”

      “死亡才正是我旅途的起点！”奎托斯跟着一剑砍翻了阿特罗波斯巨像的脖子，他决心对抗到底。在解决了阿特罗波斯的谜题之后，奎托斯踏进了一片森林里，一匹燃烧的巨马冲了过来，奎托斯把剑扎在马身上，被马一路甩到了一个圆台上，马背上的高大身影转了过来，那不就是一代的野蛮人首领么？

      “哈，斯巴达的鬼魂……还记得我么？”

      “我永远都不会忘记那一天的！”奎托斯清楚的记得在那一天，他把自己的灵魂卖给了战神阿瑞斯，靠着得到的力量杀死了野蛮人首领。而如今奎托斯和神们已经决裂了，这个野蛮人首领却把自己的灵魂卖给了哈迪斯，两个人带着各自的新信念展开了搏斗(中间一代的某个搞笑角色再一次登场，他已经快成为战神系列的佐佐木·乔治了吧……)。

      最终野蛮人首领败了下来，还被奎托斯抢走了武器。继续前进的奎托斯遇到了一个非常拥有母性气息的BOSS- -，顺便一提，这一段作者没有亲自玩过……是我同学帮我玩的，这个BOSS的气质描述和作者无关- -，战胜BOSS后得到The Head of Euryale。

      欧律比亚Euryale，盖亚的女儿，他的父亲蓬托斯Pontos也是盖亚生的……相传欧律比亚拥有一颗石头一样的心，外号“刚强的女神”……(再次声明……作者没有见过这个BOSS- -)

 

 
第三章 克罗托的挑战

 

      奎托斯在第二个命运女神克罗托(Clotho，制造并缠绕人类的生命之线)的谜题中缺少一面雕像的盾牌来解开最终的谜底，这个时候他遇到了同样在这里寻找命运女神的珀尔修斯preseus，这个人在哈迪斯那里失败了之后又寄希望于命运女神的帮助，奎托斯和他完全没有共同语言，就如同特罗伊中阿喀琉斯对赫克托所说的那句话一样(狮子和人类之间是没有共通语言的)，只懂得儿女情长的珀尔修斯怎么会知道奎托斯这只复仇的野兽在想些什么呢？

      戴上隐性帽子的珀尔修斯和奎托斯奋力一战，希望凭借杀死奎托斯来赢得命运女神的怜悯，但是奎托斯凭借着自己丰富的战斗经验和野兽一般的直觉，最终杀死了珀尔修斯，从他手里抢到了盾牌，完成了命运女神克罗托的谜题。

      珀尔修斯的祖父是阿戈斯Agos的国王阿克里西俄斯Acrisius，阿克里西俄斯听信预言说他的孙子会杀死他，因此阿克里西俄斯流放了自己的女儿，也就是珀尔修斯的母亲达那埃Danae，后来宙斯看上了达那埃- -……于是就有了珀尔修斯。
      珀尔修斯最重要的事迹是杀死并取得了美杜莎的头，雅典娜送给了珀尔修斯一面盾牌，通过盾牌的反光去确认美杜莎的位置的话，就不会被石化了。于是珀尔修斯杀死了美杜莎，而当地长期受美杜莎迫害的水仙则送给了珀尔修斯一个皮袋和一件隐身用的披风。

      凯旋而归的珀尔修斯在回家路上救下了即将被海怪吞吃的美女安德洛米达Andromeda。真正成为英雄的他最终可以昂首回归自己的国家阿戈斯，但在路上，珀尔修斯在拉里萨Larissa参加了一次比赛，在比赛中他投出去的铁饼砸碎了一位老人的脑壳，这位老人正是听说珀尔修斯要回阿戈斯而外逃的祖父阿克里西俄斯。悲伤的珀尔修斯放弃了阿戈斯的王位，另行建立的自己的新王国迈锡尼Mycenae，死后成为了天上的英仙座，而他的妻子安德洛米达成为了仙女座。

      可以说珀尔修斯一生除了失手砸碎了自己祖父的头(- -!)之外，并没有其他太多失意的事情，因此在战神里，他接受命运三姐妹的谜题中显得很是怪异。作者把这理解为，珀尔修斯不希望自己被命运的枷锁捆绑住，希望改换命运，挽救自己的祖父，于是参加挑战。

 

第四章 拉克西斯的挑战

 

      继续前进的奎托斯朝着最后一个命运女神的谜题发起冲击，经过了一系列惊险的飞跃，拉克西斯Lachesis的谜题已经在眼前了，但一道巨大的鸿沟阻在了奎托斯的面前。就在这时，一个长着翅膀的怪异老头从断桥处爬了上来，急促的对着奎托斯说道：“滚回去！滚回去！战士，这是我的挑战！这是命运姐妹给我的挑战！这断崖只有我的翅膀可以飞过！你知道我是谁么？我是伊卡洛斯Icarus！”

      “真正能完成命运女神挑战的不是你，而是我，我将折下你的翅膀，并利用它们飞过这里！”说着，奎托斯便和伊卡洛斯拼抢起来，拼抢的过程中，两人双双跌下了断桥，在两人的坠落的扭打后，奎托斯成功的撕下了伊卡洛斯的翅膀Icarus Wings，伊卡洛斯最终被摔了下去，而得到翅膀的奎托斯则安然的落到了地面，而在他身旁的……则是擎天神阿特拉斯那张脸孔……

      伊卡洛斯，应该说是悲剧性的希腊神话人物，他的父亲代达罗斯Daedalus是雅典绝顶出色的工匠，发明了很多的器具。但是代达罗斯爱慕虚荣，看不得别人比自己还好，他的外甥塔罗斯Talus天赋极高，在工匠的领域超过了代达罗斯，这使得代达罗斯嫉妒万分，最终他杀死了自己的外甥，和儿子伊卡洛斯一起逃到了克里特岛Crete，因为成功的建造了关押米诺陶诺斯的迷宫，被克里特岛的国王赏识，不肯放他回家。被“从陆上和水上封住了归路”，极其聪明的代达罗斯开始收集鸟的羽毛，他把羽毛用麻线在中间捆住，在末端用腊封牢。最后，把羽毛微微弯曲，看起来完全像鸟翼一样。他和自己的儿子一人使用一副，试图飞回雅典。过于兴奋的伊卡洛斯忘记了父亲的劝告，越飞越高，过于接近太阳，翅膀中的腊被溶化，最后掉进海里淹死了，代达罗斯伤心自己儿子的惨死，晚年在极端痛苦中郁郁而亡。

      在战神2里，从冥界里逃出来的伊卡洛斯希望通过完成命运女神的挑战，让命运女神送他回到他首次飞翔的那个时间，和父亲一起回到雅典，但是因为不幸出现在了奎大爷面前，被当作“拥有有用东西的白痴”处理掉了- -

 

      经过了漫长的攀爬，奎托斯终于让阿特拉斯见到了自己，与阿特拉斯的对话里，奎托斯了解了泰坦族与宙斯率领的新神族之间的Great War……他表示，自己将夺下让泰坦覆灭的奥林匹斯之剑，并用它刺入宙斯的心脏，最终阿特拉斯信任了奎托斯，并赐予了奎托斯他的神力，Atlas Quake。

      擎天神的巨手送奎托斯回到了断桥处，拥有翅膀的奎托斯顺利的来到了拉克西斯Lachesis的谜题面前，远处一尊无比庞大的石鸟雕像矗立在海平面的尽头，“那里，就是命运神殿Temple of Fate了么？”奎托斯的信心十足，他冲破命运的时刻已经快到了。

      令奎托斯没有想到的是，在整个解密的过程中，拉克西斯似乎不同于阿特罗波斯，在整个谜题进行了三分之一和三分之二的时候，拉克西斯的影子两次出现在他面前给他指引道路。三分之一的时候，海平面尽头的石鸟的翅膀缓缓张开，三分之二的时候，那石雕的两翼彻底解放了开来，向海际绽放，高昂的头颅伸向九天，那正是一只凤凰！

      “是的，奎托斯。”拉克西斯的身影第二次出现的时候，对奎托斯说，“就如你寻求第二次生命一般，凤凰的涅磐标志着新生，你必须让凤凰重生，那凤凰将会带你到命运神殿里去。”

      奎托斯最终完成了拉克西斯的谜题，凤凰在不远处的一个平台上等待着他。奎托斯试图寻找一条放下桥过去的路，而在这途中，他在一个漆黑的房间里，一个迅捷而凶狠的身影扑了过来，“我已经走了这么远，我绝对要坚持到最后！”

      于是两个人在漆黑的环境里厮杀了起来，奎托斯费了很大的力气将那人打翻在地，将剑插入他胸口后，奎托斯抱着挣扎中的那人摔出了屋外，他惊呆了！来人竟然是他的副官！

      “斯巴达已经覆灭了……宙斯……他亲自将斯巴达城毁灭，屠杀了所有人，我是唯一的幸存者……我希望通过挑战命运女神来获得一次挽救斯巴达的机会……”面对奎托斯的质问，副官在说完这些话之后，就死了。

      奎托斯木然的站在那里，自己的亲人，军队，家园，一个一个都失去了，自己还有可能战胜神么？身后的巨大章鱼怪捆绞住了奎托斯，奎托斯完全没有反抗，一心求死。

      恍惚之间，奎托斯觉得自己似乎来到了斯巴达的满目疮痍城外，而自己的妻子正向自己走来，“我……太抱歉了，我没有可能战胜神的……你能原谅我么？”

      然而走近了的妻子，却是盖亚扮成的，她希望激发奎托斯的进取心“胜利必将到来，但是那必须用尽了命运，拼尽了努力，才会实现。宙斯在看到你死之前是不会安心的，即使你死了，他的哥哥哈迪斯也会在冥界给你永恒的折磨，你必须无尽的奋斗，直到杀死了宙斯，才能结束这一切。我们有一场冗长而庞大的战争即将到来，我们需要你的领导。”

      最终奎托斯及时的醒了过来，战胜了章鱼，驯服了凤凰，到达了命运神殿。
第五章 和命运三女神的决斗

 

      在命运神殿的深处，高耸的三位镜面前，数千条生命纺线垂下，奎托斯知道，时间已经到来了。

      第一个出现在他面前的是拉克西斯(审视并看护人类的生命之线)，“没有人可以改变命运，即使是你，杀死宙斯并不是你的命运……对盖亚唯命是从的奎托斯，我引导你到了这里，是希望你可以明白你真正的命运，并及时悔悟。”

      “你再也不会控制我的命运了！现在滚开！”知道一定会战斗的奎托斯没有过多废话。

      “所有那些要改变命运的人，都会失败的！命运女神的力量是无尽的！而你！将会死！”拉克西斯与奎托斯开始了激战。

      就在战斗进行到了一半的时候，最早出现在奎托斯面前的阿特罗波斯(剪断人类的生命之线)，插了进来，将奎托斯带到了很久以前的雅典城下，那时的奎托斯正被阿瑞斯吸入环境，去重新体验他生命中最黑暗的一天。阿特罗波斯狰狞的对奎托斯说，“还记得你现在站在的这柄剑么？没有这柄剑，这一天死的人就不会是阿瑞斯，而是你了！”说着，阿特罗波斯把剑砸出了裂纹，“这就是命运的力量！”

      最终经过死守，奎托斯保住了当时自己的巨剑，让自己的命运依旧朝着自己努力的方向前进着。恼羞成怒的阿特罗波斯和拉克西斯一起攻了上来，但被越战越勇的奎托斯一起杀死。

      在命运神殿的最深处，奎托斯遇到了一直没有出现过的克罗托Clotho(制造并缠绕人类的生命之线),奎托斯看到克罗托的时候，就立刻明白为什么她一直不肯出现了……- -

      在把最后一个命运女神轰杀后，奎托斯在自己的生命纺线里找到了宙斯背叛并要杀死自己的那个时刻，传送了回去。
第六章 回到过去，子弑父的永恒主题

 

      遍体鳞伤的奎托斯躺在地上，手握奥林匹斯之剑的宙斯将剑穿透了他的胸口，“你已经不属于这个循环了…..”在他身后刚刚传送过来的奎托斯这次才听清了这句话，上次已经神志模糊的他并没有听清楚。

      奎托斯冲了过去撞开了宙斯，夺过了奥林匹斯之剑，宙斯惊呆了：“什么？这怎么可能？难道命运三姐妹帮助你了？”

      “她们已经死了，现在就该轮到你了！”

      奎托斯经过殊死鏖战，最终战胜了宙斯，就在他马上要将剑刺入宙斯体内的时候，雅典娜冲了出来。

      “雅典娜！连你也要对抗我！”

      “奎托斯，我并不想对抗你，但是我要保护奥林匹斯！”

      奎托斯挥开了雅典娜，一剑刺了过去，但是雅典娜推开了宙斯，自己则被奥林匹斯之剑刺中了。

      退到了一旁的宙斯喘息着，“我的儿子……你已经展开了一场你不会赢的战争……”说完，宙斯就狼狈的逃走了。

      临死的雅典娜对奎托斯解释了她所做的意义，“宙斯就是奥林匹斯……他恐惧，恐惧来自于他的父亲克洛诺斯，来自于Great War，来自于他的儿子你…..就像他不得不去对抗自己的父亲，你也将会不得不对抗他。而奥林匹斯的众神不会承认你，他们将团结起来，保护宙斯……”

      看着雅典娜的尸体逐渐消失，奎托斯站了起来，愤怒的吼道：“如果众神都否认我！我就把他们都杀了！神已经统治整个世界够久了！是时候让它结束了！”

      回到命运女神房间的奎托斯再一次调整了时间，这次他去到了Great War的时代，他找到了盖亚，让盖亚带着所有的泰坦传送到他的时代，在他的时代，将奥林匹斯夷为平地，把这一切做一个了结。

      奥林匹斯山上，宙斯与众神一起讨论要杀死奎托斯，宙斯依旧指高气昂的，显然没有把奎托斯当一回事，但是很快整座奥林匹斯山都颤抖了起来，巨大的宙斯雕像碎裂了，就连宙斯都有点站不稳了。惊慌失措的众神赶紧来到山边向下俯瞰。

      以盖亚为首的泰坦一族正在攀登昔日神圣不可侵犯的奥林匹斯山，而奎托斯则站在盖亚的背上。

      “宙斯！你的儿子回来了！我将给奥林匹斯带来彻底的毁灭！”
      (战神2结束。)

 
      关于命运三女神，作者的判断方法来自于一些关于她们的资料。

      首先，最小的克罗托Clotho，制造并缠绕人类的生命之线，喜欢身居内院，足不出户，因此第一时间就可以判定最后那个肥肥就是克罗托。

      而拉克西斯Lachesis，审视并看护人类的生命之线，她决定了线的长短，因此她清楚每一个人的命运，当最后和三女神战斗的时候，第一个女神对奎托斯说，“杀死宙斯不是你的命运”，这样的话很明显是知道命运的人才能说的出来的，因此这个女神是拉克西斯。

      最后阿特罗波斯Atropos，剪断人类的生命之线。她可以凭借自己的好恶任意结束别人的生命，拥有这样杀生大权的人往往说话跋扈，而且阿特罗波斯与奎托斯的战斗方法就是从已经发生了的事情入手，改变命运，让奎托斯提前死掉，如果在这场战斗中失败了，即放任BOSS破坏掉巨剑，则会看到一段正常通关看不到的动画，与阿瑞斯战斗的巨大奎托斯因为没有了剑，被阿瑞斯杀死，而处于“现在”的奎托斯也同时死亡了，两人倒下去的动作几乎一模一样。这段动画在movie鉴赏中有的，可以直接观看。
